INTRODUCTION
Dublin South Citizens Information Service (“DSCIS”) is a limited
company, part of the national network of Citizens Information Services
funded and supported by the Citizens Information Board (CIB).
DSCIS provides free, confidential and independent information, advice
and advocacy services to members of the public on the broad range of
public and social services.
DSCIS currently has * employees, along with a
number of volunteers and scheme workers across nine offices in Dublin
south. The organisation is governed by a board of management.
PURPOSE OF REQUEST FOR TENDERS (RFT)
As all of DSCIS funding is from a public body, the Citizens
Information Board, DSCIS must ensure competitive tendering for the
goods and services it purchases.
DSCIS places a strong emphasis on the quality of the service that it
provides. In the first quarter of *, DSCIS
arranged for 5 days training on Mentoring for the managers and senior
staff in the organisation ( * people). This
training was practical based and covered the following topics;
* Leader as a mentor and essential skills
* Practice of Mentoring
* The impact of Mentoring
* Sustaining the practice of mentoring.
We are now seeking applications from suitably qualified people or
organisations to provide follow up training to the wider team and our
senior staff in the area of mentoring. Additional information on the
brief is below in point 1.3 om the tender document attached below.
